See how a New Zealand university translated AI from buzzword to results. Through University of Canterbury case studies, you’ll learn how AI can streamline operations, sharpen fundraising strategy and put actionable insights in the hands of lean teams. The focus is on impact over tech – with take-home patterns, tooling examples and a clear human-in-the-loop approach so you can adopt AI safely, ethically and at a scale that fits your organisation.
Description: This session explores how AI can help non-profits. Drawing on case studies from the University of Canterbury, we’ll show how AI improves operational efficiency, fuels fundraising innovation, and supports sharper decisions. We’ll focus on impact – not technical detail – so you leave with practical ideas you can apply right away. You’ll see how AI makes advanced tools accessible to organisations of any size, from large teams to one-person operations, and how to tailor them to your context. Emphasising a human-in-the-loop approach, we’ll show where human judgement adds the most value and how AI can free up time and resources as a partner to your team.
Learning Objectives: • Unlock the power of AI for non-profits – practical ways to transform operations and fundraising with tools any organisation can use. • Improve operational efficiency – streamline workflows, minimise repetitive tasks, and lift accuracy so you can redirect resources to strategic goals.
