In order to provoke unique discourse and advance new ways of thinking in the field, we will provide a platform for underrepresented voices and opinions; thoughts and practices that challenge the status quo, and speculative theory which could shape the future of advancement services.

We will pursue our goals through the solicitation, review, and publication of materials that would advance thought and challenge standard practices.
To promote inspiring, creative projects and ideas that aasp members can adapt or build upon at their own organizations, which will highlight opportunities; encourage continuous improvement and agility in a changing landscape; and champion aspirational, futuristic thinking that advances the field in demonstrable ways.
This directive is achieved through creation and implementation of a process for identifying, selecting, developing, and sharing examples of individual organizations pushing the boundaries of standard practices or adapting a standard practice in a unique way.
To establish and review, through a robust peer review, through a robust peer review process, the Standard Practice for various topics within the Focus Areas of:
  • Gift Accounting and Administration
  • Data Architecture and Governance
  • Business Intelligence and Data Insights
  • Prospect Research and Development
  • Leadership and Management
  • Campaign Management and Donor Stewardship
  • Information Technology

By curating industry practices, ethical standards, and universal principles, we will deliver a cutting-edge curricula that equips all professionals with the comprehensive understanding and critical skills needed in our industry and organizations.
Ensure that the Knowledge Base is not only a comprehensive resource but also one that is intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly. Our focus is to enhance how Advancement Services professionals interact with foundational knowledge materials, best practices, white papers, and other resources. We collaborate with other subcommittees to improve KB design, structure, navigation, and overall usability, ensuring that users can easily find and apply the information they need.
We will achieve this by establishing user personas which represent multiple use cases and outline experiences for each. We will address usability, accessibility, efficiency, and satisfaction, ensuring that interactions are intuitive and valuable.
