Q: What's the difference between Individual and Organizational Memberships? A: The Individual membership covers one person and is owned by that person. If the member leaves their job, the membership remains with the individual. The Organizational Membership covers the number of members (minimum two) that are paid for ($140 each) and is owned by the organization. Organizations can transfer membership slots to other employees during their renewal period (by taking the renewal form) or if an employee permanently leaves the organization/department (by emailing the aasp Office [email protected]). Q: How do I set up a Group Membership? A: The process is different for brand-new members and for those who are current members wanting to switch to an Organizational Membership: 1) If you have never held a membership with aasp before, you can sign up through our online membership form. When you sign up for an Organizational Membership, you will designate an email for renewal invoices to go to. Based on the number of profiles you set up (minimum two) you will be charged ($140) for each profile you link to the Organization. 2) If you hold a current membership with aasp and want to switch your membership to an Organizational Membership, please email the aasp office [email protected] for further instructions. You will need to provide full names and email addresses for all those that will be included in the Organizational Membership, and the email address of the person to receive future renewal invoices. You may be subject to prorates based on your current expiration date.
Q: Can I transfer/update linked profiles within my Organizational Membership? A: Yes, this can be done in two instances: 1) During the organization’s membership renewal period, which is 60 days prior to your expiration date, the organization’s designated email will receive a current roster on their renewal invoice. Organizations can transfer membership slots to other employees during their renewal period (by taking the renewal form).
2) If someone permanently leaves your department or organization, please email [email protected] with their name for removal and the name, email, and professional title of the replacement.
Q: Can I transfer my Individual Membership? A: No, those who own an Individual Membership take their aasp membership with them, no matter who purchased it. The organization may choose to purchase another Individual Membership or opt to purchase an Organizational Membership. Q: I have an Organizational Membership. Can I add additional linked members to the membership? At what cost? A: Each member linked to your Organizational Membership costs $140. If you add an additional person outside of the renewal period, you may be subject to prorates based on your current expiration date. Q: How can I find out what my expiration date is?
Q: I’m not due to renew until next spring. Can I renew now? A: Members can only renew within their renewal period, which is 60 days prior to their expiration date. For example, if your expiration date is March 1, 2022, or earlier, you can renew in 2022 up to 60 days prior to your expiration date. Q: How can I update my personal profile? A: You can easily update your personal profile information by:
