Speakers

Kate Nimety, Director of Knowledge Base

Kate Nimety (she/her) has been an active member in the nonprofit industry since 2010, and brings over 20 years of systems and process development. She has been a people- and process-focused consultant for over 8 years, and was deeply involved in solution development and change management while in the Development and IT departments at Yale University for over 5 years prior. Kate is deeply engaged with the missions of all of her colleagues and clients in the nonprofit, higher ed, health care, and arts and culture verticals. She has made lasting connections with industry leaders across all sectors, including our other consultants and vendors. Kate has served aasp for 7 years, first as a member of the Best Practices Review Panel (2017-2018), then with the Summit Program Committee (2019-present), and has orchestrated the Elevate pre-conference workshop at Summit for the last 5 years. Kate is a highly-rated speaker at aasp Summit each year, has recorded an aasp Podcast episode recently, and also presents at other industry events such as this year's 2024 CASE DRIVE pre-conference workshop.It is with this consistency and dedication to volunteerism and serving our industry that Kate approaches new opportunities to serve. Her breadth of experience, from process design expertise as a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), to developing a holistic Organizational Change Management practice, to leading the Consulting practice at Zuri Group with a team of deeply experienced Management Consultants, contributes to her volunteer work in ways that support the growth of our industry.

Christopher Amherst

A future-focused thought leader on data within higher education advancement and its power to drive insights and tell impactful stories, Chris Amherst has contributed to the community through articles on Master Data Management, webinars on data culture and data quality, and a practice paper on the impact of technical debt on innovation and leadership within our teams. In 2023, he was recognized by Almabase as one of “50 under 50” in advancement.

Currently serving as the director of a team handling data strategy, management, and governance at the University of Chicago, Chris is a member of DAMA, EDUCAUSE, has served in volunteer roles at CASE and AASP, and presented at numerous conferences, locally and nationally.

 

Carrie White

Carrie White is a seasoned technology, operations, and data executive with a track record of transforming teams and driving strategic innovation in the Advancement space. As the vice president of technology, information, and philanthropic strategy at the University of Cincinnati Foundation, she leads a multidisciplinary team overseeing gift administration, data management, reporting, analytics, IT infrastructure, and prospect development. Under her leadership, the team has evolved from a traditional back-office function into a strategic partner, embedding data and technology as accelerators of organizational success.

With a master’s degree in Organization Development and Change from Penn State, White is passionate about developing user-informed, innovative, and iterative solutions. She believes that technology, data, and operations are most powerful when integrated with organizational development and change—grounded in trust, transparency, and a deep understanding of culture. She knows that sustainable transformation isn’t just about systems and strategy; it’s about fostering an environment where people embrace change, innovation is natural, and data-driven decisions enhance both efficiency and engagement.

Her career spans leadership roles at UC Health Foundation, the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati, Jacobson Consulting Applications, the Cincinnati Museum Center, and nonprofits nationwide. White, a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, thrives at the intersection of technology, culture, and strategic growth, championing transparency, authenticity, and innovation.

Webinar Policies 

Cancellation Policy: All registered attendees will receive a webinar recording after the webinar has taken place. If you would like to cancel your registration and not receive this recording, please email the aasp Office within 48 hours of the scheduled webinar in which case non-members may receive a full refund (members attend for free).

Technical Failure Policy: I understand that if there is a technical failure at the attendee's home or workplace that prevents access to the live webinar, the attendee will not be given a refund. It is the responsibility of the attendee to confirm system requirements and test their computers prior to the start of the webinar. If a technical failure is the fault of the service provider and the webinar is canceled, a full refund will be provided.
