Emily McHugh is the Associate Director of Donor Services at North Carolina State University, where she specializes in gift agreements and gift compliance. Based in Raleigh, she has been part of the NC State Donor Services team since 2020 and stepped into her current role in April 2024. Prior to joining NC State, Emily worked at Duke University, where she developed a strong understanding of the major gift process and donor engagement strategy. |

Vanessa Perez Solana is a Donor Services Analyst at North Carolina State University, where she is responsible for creating annual endowment reports and assisting with the management of DocuSign CLM. Since joining the NC State Donor Services team in 2023, she has developed a deeper understanding of the gift agreement process and gained valuable insights into the importance of reporting. |

Kristy Wasilewski has more than ten years of experience documenting and improving processes at nonprofits and institutes of higher education. Her specialties at NC State include streamlining the centralized endowment reporting process and overseeing naming opportunities. Kristy holds a bachelor's degree in English/communications from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and a master's degree in public administration with an emphasis on nonprofit management from NC State. |

Sarah Thomas serves as the Director of Donor Services at NC State University, where she oversees key operations, including gift agreements, naming opportunities, endowment reporting, and distinguished professorships. With more than 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and a decade in higher education, Sarah brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. Before joining NC State, Sarah was the Project Manager of Gift Management at the University of Houston. She also hosts a monthly call, “Hot Topics in Donor Relations/Gift Administration Compliance,” providing valuable insights to the donor relations and gift compliance community. An active volunteer with CASE, aasp, and ADRP, Sarah has served as a Board Member for aasp and holds a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Baylor University. Under her leadership, NC State's Donor Services team has received numerous accolades, including: Sarah was personally recognized with the CASE District III Emerging Leader Award in 2023 and has been nominated multiple times for the NC State Staff Excellence Award for University Advancement (2018, 2019, 2021). |

Webinar Policies
Cancellation Policy: All registered attendees will receive a webinar recording after the webinar has taken place. If you would like to cancel your registration and not receive this recording, please email the aasp Office within 48 hours of the scheduled webinar in which case non-members may receive a full refund (members attend for free).
Technical Failure Policy: I understand that if there is a technical failure at the attendee's home or workplace that prevents access to the live webinar, the attendee will not be given a refund. It is the responsibility of the attendee to confirm system requirements and test their computers prior to the start of the webinar. If a technical failure is the fault of the service provider and the webinar is canceled, a full refund will be provided.
